Charismatic Prayer Group

Simone Marchi speaks to Prayer Group Lori Harris leading Charismatic prayer group
What is a prayer group? We met last night at our Tyler Charismatic Prayer Group.
We gathered. We introduced new people, read some some scripture, had a testimony, heard a teaching.
Then we started praying for people. We prayed for a girl to receive the gift of tongues. and she did.
We prayed attacking spirits off a domestic violence worker. We prayed for a child's father to get saved.

Most were Catholic. Some were not. We met on common ground of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Spirit was with us and we rejoiced in His Presence. We were able to share our hurts and fears and get prayed for by brothers and sisters. Some are stronger than others and spoke words of exhortation. The Bible was readily available and quoted frequently. Many were perceptive of the anointing of the Holy Spirit on others and voiced their awe.

What does this prayer group do for us? It provides community. It shows us that there are others in this struggle against evil. We encourage each other to hold fast to the authority God gives us. Our group is serious about sharing our concerns with one another and connecting with God. We meet the 2nd Monday of each month in Tyler, TX at St Paul's Chapel on the Loop. If you would like to fellowship and pray with others who are connecting with the throne of God, (to quote Field of Dreams,) "there's a place where things like that happen." For directions call (903) 343-3567.
